The source of this typed story came from Gerald's Aunt Elsie Witt DeVore circa 1980. His best guess is that the last two paragraphs had been only notes added at the bottom of the page by someone else at a much later date, but when the story was typed the last paragraphs were included as if part the original text.

A note about the line "I am a granddaughter of Daniel Boone, the famous Kentucky pioneer." (Second line of second paragraph.) This not true. Gerald said he wasted years of research on this one line before he drew this conclusion. Another thing is puzzling to him. She is absolutely correct about her grandfather David Denton, whom she never had any contact with. Yet, she lived with her McFadin mother and McFadin uncles and would not claim Elias B. McFadin as her other grandfather.
